Using a windscreen with any alcohol stove is an absolute must. Ours features a single opening in the front for superior wind protection and easy access to the flame adjusting mechanism.

It also has a 'belt buckle' securely riveted in place so that it can't get left behind. It easily and quickly adjusts to work with any size of cookware up to 6.75 inches (171 mm) in diameter.

Our windscreen is designed to be rolled around your fuel bottle for traveling but it can also fit inside many cook sets if you prefer.

By the way, those black bands in the picture are hair ties like the ladies use for ponytails. They are very light weight and covered with a synthetic fabric so they don't wear out like ordinary rubber bands. You can also use them to make a slingshot to ward off pesky bears. (Just kidding!)

Anyway the bands are NOT included but you can get them at drug stores, grocery stores, WallyWorld, etc.

Heat Reflector Disc

Get the most out of your FeatherFire Stove!

We recommend using a heat reflector placed under your stove. Our testing showed that doing so significantly decreases boil time. And of course faster boil time equals less fuel used.

You can easily make your own heat reflector from several layers of ordinary aluminum foil.

However...
We also found that getting the heat reflector closer to the bottom of the cook pot decreased boil time an average of 15 seconds. So we designed our heat reflector disc to do just that. It is a must-have to maximize the performance and fuel efficiency of your FeatherFire stove!
